How everything started and how did I get my ZX-11. I had a 750cc before and actually it was a nice bike, but………. , to small for me. For touring impossible for me. I'm just to tall (6'6”) for those bikes. So, I need something bigger, came into my mind. Then I saw, black beauty. That was love from the first time on. So, what should I do? I took her with me. Since that time we are best friend's. She never let me alone. And she don't have to be jealous, because there are not so many big bikes which suit's me. My baby has enough power to give me the feeling I fly, but…who needs this? Just to have the knowledge, I can if I like, with more than 160 kw, it's already a nice feeling. But it's also a nice feeling if I just cruise with a speed of 80 km/h to 120 km/h and after 50 km ride, I can say; Wow, no pain at all.

Something else came in my mind. What's the use to have a nice day, a nice bike, …but I'm alone on the track. I got this idea September 2003. I went with my bike North, Subic bay , Olongapo and met my new friends down there. All bikers. The first group I met was the club of Dennis and I met them on a gas station on the way to Subic . The ATAT boy's from Manila . A fabulous and disciplined group of bikers. I really felt comfortable to ride with them. Until now we are friends and I'm looking forward to ride with them again.

My idea was, to tight up my club a bit better. So I went back to Bohol and organized a meeting for all riders in Tagbilaran and Panglao. I know its not easy to organize tours. The problem is always to get the right schedule which fit's everybody. The next problem could be the weather, hopefully no rain will appear. In Bohol most riders have a job and they are little dependent on their working time. So most of our tours are here around Bohol . Other Foreign members and me we have to go somewhere else to join a club tour. Cebu, Negros, Mindanao and Manila .

We are bit far from Manila and having problems to go there. Actually I would ride there with my bike, but…I done it once and the road in Samar doesn't fit my bike and me. So I have to go by Ship. A boring trip of at least 27 hours. But once we are in Manila , everything works fine. Honestly, I'm still waiting to go there because of the North highway construction. They not finish yet and to drive there is a lot of stress. Not only for me, but for the bike as well. So ATAT's. Let me know about the North highway. We're looking forward to go there to join your next tour. My bike is prepared and I guess the rest of us have their bike in good condition too.
